This week, we are celebrating @cityofguelph's 5️⃣ year anniversary of their first on-demand transit service, Mobility Services! Since then, our partnership has grown to include the Community Bus and Holiday Service.

Some key highlights from our partnership include:
⭐The Mobility Service launched in 2019 with RideCo, replacing outdated legacy paratransit software to become more efficient with automated processes.
⭐To optimize resources, Guelph Transit #commingled Community Bus with Mobility Services, utilizing the paratransit program's excess vehicle capacity.
⭐On-demand Holiday Service launched in 2022 to replace fixed-route bus service on statutory holidays.
⭐With more flexible mobility options, customer satisfaction has remained high with an average 4.8/5 star trip rating.

We at @RideCo_OnDemand love #ondemandtransit and how efficient and convenient it can be, but don't just listen to us, hear it from our partner, @guelphtransit!

"Our mileage and maintenance cost have shown to decrease, and it's enabled us to move towards more of a net-zero type of transit," said Robin Gerus, General Manager of Transit Operations at Guelph Transit.

Guelph Transit first replaced legacy #paratransit platform with RideCo in Q3 2019 and has since commingled to optimize resources. Now, the program sees a high 98% on-time performance along with a 4.8/5 customer rating.

#ServiceAnniversary We’re celebrating the one-year anniversary of @RideCo_OnDemand’s launch with @METROHouston for their Hiram Clarke curb2curb service!

Initially marked as an expansion of the #ondemandtransit service, Houston METRO gained a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for their noble goal to provide a convenient and high-quality #mobility option that serves the needs of the community. The day of the launch was filled with support coming from the community and across all levels of government—well deserved!

"Convenient, high-quality transit is essential to our communities because it gives people a safe, affordable, and environmentally sustainable way to get to school, employment, health care and other essential destinations," said METRO Board Chair, Sanjay Ramabhadran.

Both transit technology providers and transportation network companies (TNCs) have the common goal of providing efficient and convenient mobility that connects people to where they need and want to go. When industry leaders in the public and private transportation space come together, this type of disruptive partnership promotes innovation within the industry and enables a forward-looking approach to how we all deliver #mobility.

That being said, we are excited to announce that @RideCo_OnDemand and @Uber have partnered together to provide #publictransit agencies with a TNC overflow solution!

The integration will leverage the efficiencies that RideCo's platform provides for all fleet alternatives, while flexing service options with Uber to provide overflow services for supporting peak demand, low-density areas, after-hours trip requests, as well as rider's choice. This enables transit agencies to deliver more comprehensive #ondemandtransit offerings—making public transit more equitable and accessible for all.
