I joined my colleagues in leading a bipartisan letter urging President Trump to fully enforce sanctions against Russia and cut off a major source of funding for Putin’s war against Ukraine.
As the war continues, the United States must increase pressure on Putin to take negotiations seriously and work toward a lasting peace.

I met with the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District to discuss ongoing efforts to improve air quality and protect public health across our Valley.
Clean air is essential to the health and well-being of our communities, and I’ll continue fighting for the resources needed to build a healthier San Joaquin Valley for future generations.
Our farmers, families, and communities depend on a reliable water supply, which is why I brought together federal, state, and local leaders yesterday for our second water meeting of the year to continue this important conversation.
Building on the more than $131 million in federal funding securement for Central Valley water infrastructure projects, I’ll continue working to deliver long-term water solutions for our Valley.
Yesterday, Team Costa joined the Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebration at Fresno City Hall and presented a Congressional Certificate of Recognition in honor of the occasion.
The celebration featured cultural performances, land acknowledgments, and traditional blessings, honoring the rich history, heritage, and contributions of Indigenous peoples to our communities.
Team Costa also recognized Deborah Gilleran with a Congressional Certificate for her years of dedication to making this annual celebration possible
Yesterday, I was up bright and early for one of my favorite traditions, honoring our Valley heroes. 🇺🇸
I was proud to help send off Central Valley Honor Flight 36 as our Valley veterans began their journey to Washington, D.C.
These brave men and women have given so much to our country, and honoring their service is one small way to thank them for all they have done for our nation.
My thoughts are with Pope Leo XIV following his recent health diagnosis. I am encouraged to hear that his surgery was successful and wish him continued strength, comfort, and healing as he continues on his path to recovery.
May his faith continue to guide him, and may he find strength in the prayers and support of people throughout our Valley, nation, and world.

Today, I joined the Nisei Farmers League, Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer, and community leaders to address the fear and uncertainty surrounding immigration enforcement in our Valley.
Our farmworkers are not criminals. They are hardworking people who put food on America’s tables and are essential to our nation’s food security.
I’ll continue working across the aisle to advance bipartisan immigration reform that supports our hardworking farmworkers, strengthens our agricultural economy, and ensures America’s food security.
Hydrogen and fuel cell technologies are helping power America's energy future!
Today, I joined my colleagues in introducing a bipartisan resolution recognizing October 8 as National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day.
Investing in American innovation means strengthening our energy security, creating good-paying jobs, building a more reliable energy grid, and reducing emissions.

It was an honor to celebrate Leticia Campos as the new CEO of the Marjaree Mason Center.
During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we recognize the vital work of organizations like the Marjaree Mason Center and leaders like Leticia, who ensure survivors have access to the support, services, and resources they need to heal and thrive.
As co-chair and co-founder of the Crime Survivors Caucus, I look forward to seeing the Center’s continued impact and remain committed to working alongside advocates and partners to secure the resources and support survivors deserve.
The President himself has voted by mail, yet he has repeatedly criticized the practice. Now, he is encouraging the very same voting method he has spoken out against. That is hypocrisy.
As of Monday, California counties have begun mailing ballots to registered voters for this election season.
This is the time to make your voice heard and exercise your right to vote. Your voice matters, and your vote matters.
For the President of the United States to suggest allowing Iran to ‘take out’ Los Angeles and San Diego is reckless, and yet another example of his disturbing pattern of using dangerous rhetoric that incites violence.
Los Angeles and San Diego are home to millions of families, workers, service members, and communities. San Diego is also home to one of the largest naval communities in the country, where thousands of service members and their families live, work, and serve. Threats of violence against our cities should never be treated as political rhetoric, especially by the President of the United States.
This kind of language is unacceptable and has no place in our country.

My office is aware of reports of federal immigration enforcement activity in Fresno and surrounding counties and is closely monitoring the situation. I have been in contact with local and federal officials and key advocates as we work to gather more information about these troubling reports.
My priority is making sure our communities have accurate information and that the rights and safety of Central Valley residents are protected. We will share additional information as we learn more.
For those who are as concerned as I am, I encourage you to stay engaged and help us understand what is happening in our Valley. If you witness immigration enforcement activity in your community or workplace, or believe an enforcement action may have violated someone’s rights, please contact my office and let us know what you witnessed. Documenting these incidents helps us understand what is happening on the ground and determine where further action may be necessary.
We have seen serious questions raised about whether federal immigration enforcement actions are complying with the law, as well as incidents resulting in serious injuries and deaths, including those involving U.S. citizens. Federal immigration authorities must follow the law and respect the constitutional rights and safety of every person.
At this time, I encourage everyone to know their rights if interacting with federal immigration authorities. Please review and share the resources below with your family and community.

For 115 years, St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church has kept Armenian faith, culture, and traditions strong in the Central Valley, serving generations of Armenian families.
It was a privilege to celebrate this historic milestone alongside His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian and present a Congressional Recognition honoring St. Mary’s enduring legacy and its important place in our Valley’s Armenian community.
Over the weekend, I had the honor of joining the California Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists Fall Conference. I was especially proud that, for the first time, the conference was hosted right here in the Central Valley.
Clinical Nurse Specialists are innovators, educators, researchers, and clinical experts who improve patient outcomes, strengthen our healthcare workforce, and advance evidence-based care.
I will continue working to support the nurses and healthcare professionals who care for our communities every day.
