The Chinese Communist Party has spent years exploiting the American economy to advance its own technological and military ambitions.
That’s why I introduced the Prohibiting Adversarial Patents Act alongside @RepMoolenaar and @repdarrellissa.
This legislation closes the door on hostile foreign entities using our patent system to gain economic leverage and undermine our national security.

WATCH: @RepFitzgerald on incorporating non-bank competitors into the assessment of the market concentration:
“… [I]n recent years, merger reviews have often been conducted using competitive effects analysis that treat insured depository institutions as if they operate in an isolated marketplace, even as fintech lenders, credit unions, farm credit institutions, and other non-bank financial firms now provide overlapping loan and deposit products at scale.”

🚨Proud to lead my colleagues in a letter urging @Sonderling47 to finalize a proposed rule giving working families a broader range of retirement plan investment options for their 401(k)s.
For decades, private investments have offered consistent returns and diversification for public pension funds, and American retirement savers deserve access to those same financial opportunities.

WATCH: @RepFitzgerald highlights the importance of H.R. 1869, the Protecting American Industry and Labor from International Trade Crimes Act of 2025.
This legislation, sponsored by @RepAshleyHinson, cracks down on trade fraud and strengthens the DOJ to go after the criminals who exploit the law.
🚨 Today, I introduced two pieces of legislation focused on countering China alongside @ZachNunn.
China has turned the Belt and Road Initiative into a weapon of economic coercion, building leverage through debt, controlling critical infrastructure, and pulling countries deeper into Beijing’s orbit.
The TRAIN Act helps countries avoid walking into those traps in the first place, and the BRIDGE Act ensures the United States is better positioned to address this challenge.

This Memorial Day, we honor the brave Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage and devotion secured the freedoms we enjoy every day. May we never forget those who gave everything for our country. 🇺🇸
📺 @RepFitzgerald hits the nail on the head: Supreme Court Justices are supposed to be neutral arbiters of the law, not partisan actors.
But the Democrats don't care.
The Southern Poverty Law Center started as law firm to help the public.
But now they've abandoned their original mission and target Christian and Conservative groups they disagree with.

🚨Today, the House passed the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act.
Solving America’s housing shortage starts with increasing supply and cutting the red tape that makes it harder to build.
This legislation takes important steps to modernize HUD programs, improve access to financing, and eliminate federal barriers that slow housing construction so developers and rural banks can deliver more housing for hardworking Americans.
I’m proud to support a bill that will help lower housing costs nationwide.
Today, I led the effort in urging Administrator @EPALeeZeldin to rescind the EPA’s Hydrofluorocarbon Management Rule, which increases the cost of refrigeration. This regulatory burden puts a strain on grocers across the Country, and increases grocery costs for consumers. Thank you, @Rep_Clyde@RepFitzgerald@RepAndyHarrisMD@RepMarkHarrisNC@RepBarryMoore@RepOgles for joining the effort to lower costs for Americans.
PASSED! Congrats to @RepFitzgerald on passing the Keeping Violent Offenders Off Our Streets Act, which increases accountability for large-scale bail operations by treating organizations that post bail for criminal defendants like insurance businesses under federal law.
Communities across the country have suffered the consequences of reckless soft-on-crime policies that put dangerous offenders back on the streets.
The Keeping Violent Offenders Off Our Streets Act restores accountability to the bail process by ensuring left-wing organizations that post bail for violent criminals are subject to federal insurance laws and criminal fraud statutes.
Public safety should always come first, and this legislation is key in protecting Americans and restoring common sense to our bail system.
I thank my colleagues for their support of this bill, and I’ll continue fighting to ensure tragedies like the 2021 Waukesha Christmas parade attack are never repeated.
My bill, the Keeping Violent Offenders Off Our Streets Act, combats radical bail policies by simply subjecting bail bonds to insurance fraud laws.
For years, left-wing groups have exploited loopholes in our bail system at the expense of public safety.
Nobody wants violent criminals recklessly released back into neighborhoods across the country. This legislation ends the madness.
Major congratulations to Kevin Warsh on his confirmation as Chairman of the Federal Reserve. Kevin has decades of experience and has proven his commitment to fighting inflation and lowering costs for hardworking Americans. His Chairmanship will be revolutionary in helping our economy grow to the benefit of all Americans.
