@ianmSC Isn’t it strange how the vote of after election mail in ballots doesn’t look anything like weeks of polls heading into election or anything like the 60% of votes cast and counted on Election Day. I wonder why that’s the case so often? And always favors liberal democrats. Weird.
@ChrisGloninger $370 million + $48 million in annual maintenance cost. Tell us what we got from this project over the last 10 years that was worth $850 million. Are there other ocean monitoring systems? For $850 mil we could have built 550 miles of 3 ft sea wall and $48 mil/yr gets 30 mi more/yr
@McJuggerNuggets Mr. Ridgeway, be honest. You wouldn’t have received the vitriol if you kept this decision and action private. But you CHOSE to put it on social media, and you knew what would happen. You CHOSE to publicize your “loss of an unborn child” which resulted from your other CHOICE.
@ASFleischman The Declaration of Independence states “governments are instituted among men” to “secure these right” which include the right to “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” When do you believe disabled persons obtain these right? Age 2? At birth? 2 weeks before birth?
@McJuggerNuggets Don’t know if you realize or not but you just made the case that pro choice’s main argument (it’s the woman’s body) has always been wrong. Who now won’t have vision problems, learning delays, immune problems? Your wife? No. Your child and why? Because this child no longer exists.
@ChrisGloninger The problem Chris, is in 1992 IPCC predicted 6 mm/ year and a 20 cm rise by 2030. Most other areas of science consider 25-40% margins of error over 3+ decades of observation significant enough to question the validity of preceding assumptions.
@ChrisGloninger “We over estimate the last 30 years by 35-50%/ yr but trust us when we predict it’ll be even worse than our original (wrong) prediction over the next 15 years.” Trust us.
@ChrisGloninger Chris, the thing you don’t seem to understand is when folks like me go to the beaches we’ve been visiting for 60 years and the shore is where it always has been, we’ll ignore your crisis hype. We believe our eyes as opposed to your flawed models.
@1819News@DougJones@EricaTNews So his remedy for the revival of the old Confederacy, which was run exclusively by old white male democrats, is to elect… an old white male democrat? Did I get that right?
@GolfChannel@AuburnMGolf@ATT So @GolfChannel any explanation why you only showed 4 shots in the Auburn v Stanford matches this morning? 1 missed putt by Kiovun on 17 and 3 close out putts (1 by Stanford and 2 by Auburn). That’s it. Did you intentionally ignore this match disappointing AU and Stanford fans?
@GolfChannel@OSUCowboyGolf Golf channel, why no coverage of the Auburn v Stanford match on your broadcast. I’ve Ben watching 45 min and you have shown a single shot from that match.
@ChrisGloninger 1992 IPCC 1 predicted 0.3 deg C/ decade rise. 30 year later, per NOAA/GISS, in 2022 global temps had risen 0.66 degrees. Technically that is a fraction of a degree but it’s also a 37% underestimation. In most areas of science 37% margins of error are considered significant.
@MattWalshBlog Amen says the 63 yr old who’s married to a smart, beautiful 62 yr old wife. I tell young people all the time the reason I’m happy now is when I married a really good looking 20 year old I knew if we were lucky we’d be wrinkled and gray sitting together in rocking chairs. And I 😎
@LifeWithoutLack@HMDatMI 4.0 GPA in cellular/molecular biology, 522 MCAT (top 1-2% nation), 3 yrs onco research. Applied to 7 med schools. Only got 1 interview and didn’t get in. Black female friend working in same lab, lower GPA, lower MCAT got accepted + scholarships to 2 schools that rejected him.
@LifeWithoutLack@GJohnAI@HMDatMI Look up AMCAS website. They have application and matriculation data that shows a 20+ percentile difference in MCATs and GPAs for accepted black and Hispanic students v white and Asian students. If they would release the acceptance rate for MCAT/GPA grid by race would show more.
@ChrisGloninger Is this conclusion based on your being a credentialed climate “expert”?
To me it’s more evidence that your politics effects you science more than your science effecting your politics.
@ChrisGloninger “The baseline you cite wasn't a census; it was a guess.” And yet you say that there are 51 Rice’s whales, like you know for sure it’s not 48 or 63. It’s a guess too.
But what you don’t like to admit is much of our adaptability that has benefited humans is owed to fossil fuels.
