We know its the kipper but please can drivers try to keep gaps on ranks to a minimum and move up when you can. Gaps on station ranks or reading your paper and not moving up might mean someone behind you is overanked or in view of a camera when there is space. Thank you.
IMPORTANT
Did anyone witness a female cabbie being assaulted by the driver of Range Rover LJ73 XSS,illegally parked on the Novikov Rank at around 11.20 pm on 30/12
Police are being helpful & any further information would be appreciated in order to prosecute the odious bully.

🚦🚧Euston we still have a problem: Black cab trade angry they can’t get access to Euston station taxi rank. @TheLTDA say queues of people waiting for taxis that can’t get there easily due to road layout.
Euston Chaos! After months of talking to, emailing, meeting and trying to work with TfL, HS2, Camden and Network Rail, to no avail, Today we are advising passengers waiting in long queues for taxis, why they are waiting and who is to blame!
London is cold. Really cold. Had to wait 15 minutes for a cab because of the berserk Euston taxi rank layout that makes it difficult for them to actually get in and pick you up
So... my sister-in-laws phone was stolen yesterday. Picked from her pockets in London whilst she was out and looking after her two toddlers.
It was taken to an "iPhones Limited" shop in Marylebone within hours, and is now at an address in Harringay.
This story shouldn't be so common but instead, jt is constant. This happens regularly and regardless of background - everyone is a target, and obviously looking after young children makes you an easier one
This has become "normal". But it isn't normal and we shouldn't accept it.
You may not be able to eradicate crime, but you can crush crime rates. It's about time politicians took this seriously - and stopped expecting us to just live like this.
Euston taxi customers, most with luggage, many older and wheelchair users totally discriminated against by the behaviour of @TfL not to ease taxi access. Very sad.
When I had a mobile phone snatched by a biker, I gave the police precise GPS details of its two UK locations, including Google maps pictures of front doors. The police refused to go to the addresses or investigate.
This was maddening. The officers said they were not allowed to act on GPS locational data - and also that there are so many street crimes that they can’t cope. But they did want to visit me to take a pointless statement and offer me victim support, when what I actually wanted was my phone back. It is now in Algeria.
The police are significantly under-resourced but there is also an issue about how the existing resources are being deployed.
The Home Secretary says she will give the police the power to act on location data. But it is unclear when this will happen, and why the police can’t even now simply go to a property and knock on a door as a warning to the thieves that they are being watched. And as for the failure to use cctv images, don’t get me started.
Of course thefts and crimes such as the one I experienced are trivial compared to many that go unsolved. Which is why what is reported below will resonate widely.
PS I am not being funny but I thought the most counter-intuitive aspect of the Louise Haigh case is that a decade ago the police took an interest in where her phone might be
@jowhiley@NetworkRailEUS Reinstall the left turn at Churchway & problem solved. We were allowed to do this before covid. The restriction was put in due to a temporary cycle lane on Euston Road. When the cycle lane was removed, they (@CamdenCouncil & @TfL) kept the restriction in place.
Just an observation from a regular commuter - the new taxi rank system at Euston station just doesn’t work. For taxis it’s too hard to get into. For those with mobility issues, it’s too far away - taxi drivers - you have my sympathy.
@NetworkRailEUS
URGENT REQUEST, short notice as its tomorrow. We have been asked by a children's hospice if there are 6 drivers willing to volunteer their time to transport terminally ill kids from SE London to Winter Wonderland and back.
Contact Sam ASAP on 07495903463 for more details.
Thanks
All the more reason the access to the taxi rank from the west is sorted so when the Circle and Victoria line go down taxis can access quickly to service the passengers waiting.
Did you know that out of the 17,256 taxi carriage licenses, just 2% are women?
Hear from Tina Palmer, hackney carriage driver, as she pushes for why more women should take up the Knowledge!
