Technology-enhanced simulation has proven benefits in health professions education. With this and Covid social distancing measures in mind, we created a web simulation to virtually train volunteers on manual bag-valve-tube ventilation in the event of ventilator shortage. #COVID

In disasters (like Hurricane Katrina) patients are ventilated by hand when are no mechanical ventilators.

Manual ventilation might be final option if we run out of ventilators.

I hope it never comes to this.

I believe the MIT Emergency Ventilator (E-Vent) is one of our best options for surge capacity ventilation.
