Negotiation should reflect collective benefit rather than fostering divisions and resentment among sections. #5DayWeekandFairPLI#AIBOC@PMOIndia https://t.co/pPQ495jZIv
India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.
At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.
Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.
A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.
@PMOIndia
Quick approval of the 5-day week will create a more satisfied and engaged workforce willing to contribute even more to the banks.
Bankers also needs "Work Life Balance". Honour the joint note signed on 8th March 24.

Bank employees are the backbone of India’s financial system, powering inclusion, safeguarding stability, and enabling growth.
Yet, they’re still denied a humane work–life balance.
A 5-day work week in the banking industry isn’t a “perk”, it’s a long-overdue necessity. The commitment has been made. Now it must be honoured.
Act now. Implement a 5-day week for bankers too, without delay.

Most government organizations in India already follow a 5-day workweek, and nations like Japan and the UK are transitioning to a 4-day workweek. In this scenario, implementing 5-day banking is essential to support Digital India. @FinMinIndia#UnitedWeStand

Shame on you @ChairmanIba and bank management. You shamelessly spreading half truths and lies about 19% hike. And what about RBI, many govt depts, SEBI, who are enjoying 5 day banking? Don't they play a part in India's economy?
