Sick of feeling hoha that we weren't doing enough as a family each weekend, I downloaded a number picker app on my phone and got the kids to brainstorm things to do. We spin it twice on Friday night to plan our weekend. Next week, we're going to the Zoo and playing mini golf.
Y’all! I did it! I did it @kerszi — your #fliphunt is taking over our field trip tomorrow!! The kids are SO excited and so am I!!! @Flipgrid @seastmswsfcs
For today's #mathtalk ... The students had to plan out how to solve a multistep problem, but they weren't allowed to use numbers. It was great to see them truly break apart the problem and understand the parts and what's being asked. Such great conversations! #svusdshines
The idea of a 3D shape being laid flat to find surface area is a difficult concept to grasp... Until now! Loved these pull-up shapes we made today for surface area and volume! #svusdshines

New Year... Re-establishing True North.
Some people call them Boundaries; others call them Values… whatever you call them, they are True North of what sits deep within as a core part of our identity. https://t.co/WboJUoOJHN
Question: Many of our teachers were trained and have only ever worked in the data-driven system of National Standards. Many older teachers, that have far wider experience, are not far from retirement/leaving. What does this mean for the NZ education system going forward?
