Honestly, Indian markets are frustrating

We pay tax on salary, GST on spending, STT + STCG/LTCG on investments

Meanwhile on the other side:
• Layoffs are happening
• Small businesses are struggling
• Big corporations are everywhere
• Cost of living keeps rising
• Even basic infrastructure in metro cities is disappointing

And when we question taxes, the answer is:
“Government needs money to build roads, infrastructure, etc, etc.,”

Fair enough

But if we’re paying more every year, shouldn’t the quality of roads, infrastructure and public services improve too?

We work
We invest
We take risks
We pay taxes

But who is actually protecting the middle class from this endless cycle?
