This song is about my journey into therapy & connecting the patterns of my repeated suicide attempts over my lifetime. As adopted person born of a drug addicted woman who abandoned both myself and my twin brother at birth my developmental years were plagued with the internalized shame that something was inherently wrong with me since I was born to have my own mother not want to have me in her life. Especially growing up & going to school in a community where parents wanted their children.
As adults we grow and adapt many toxic coping mechanism & unsubstantiated ideas about ourselves in direct miscorrelation to our wounds.
But we also as adults must be willing to do the work in order to remove those ideas and revisit our childhood circumstances with an adult perspective that will give us a new opportunity to create healthy habits and relationships to which we can change the cycle.

I know many people are struggling lately coping with the terms & conditions of the new reality of the world but I want you RO know if you are growing and learning and willing to change I am proud of you. It’s hard.
Even when people steal from us, lie about us, even try to kill us, we must turn them over to God & take every opportunity to surrender to his will on our lives so that we may be worthy of peace in the next life.
