$KDK Kodiak named IKEA its driverless launch partner.

The two have already been working together for four years:

• 1,300+ loads
• 750,000+ autonomous miles
• 7-day operations
• Day and night freight runs

The next phase is driverless service on a 219-mile stretch, mainly along I-45 between Houston and Dallas, as part of IKEA’s Baytown-to-Frisco route.

Kodiak will start with a safety driver in the truck, then move to driver-out operations once the launch process is completed.

That distinction matters. This is not Kodiak showing up with an empty cab on day one. It is a staged transition from an already-established commercial freight operation to fully driverless service.
