If the US(15.52) only admitted 7.38 tons for each one of its citizens the US’s total emissions would be >halved. But this doesn’t take into account wealth.

@DivinityTao @brekkysammies @rusticwallace China is a good example, after already having a rapidly declining birthrates through the 70s they implemented the 1 child policy which naturally didn’t have the intended impact and then fertility rate decreased as they got rid of it. It only managed to cause meaningless suffering

The majority of regions that still have high birthrates also contribute the least to overconsumption and pollution.
