@playwyourmath A student and I have been playing with this problem for 2 days now, and sort of stumped on the big picture. Having fun but would love a nudge as far as a bigger math topic to investigate a connection. Here's our chart.
Started today with 2 truths and a lie about what students did over spring break. It went great, lots of sharing and smiles to start the week. #iteachmath#teachertwitter
Last week's poll I asked students if they would rather take a time machine to the past or the future. I was struck by the issues around race and privilege embedded in the question. Multiple students of color brought up concerns about racism and inequality, choosing the future.
How does the rate of change of the name reader compare to the rate of change of photographer? The log jam behind the photographer holds the answer! "Why do you have to turn everything into a math problem?!" asks my daughter. Because #iteachmath#mtbos#graduation
I continue to be amazed at the large number of students sending me emails and turning in random old assignments at 2 and 3 am. My inbox at 10 pm is much different from my inbox at 7 am. #teachinginapandemic#remotelearning#iteachmath

Wondering if anyone who uses Illustrative Math has developed standards-based assessments for Algebra 2? (Or any of the HS classes) Thanks in advance! #illustrativemath#mtbos#iteachmath
Really loving teaching alg 2 with Illustrative Math this year. Never before have I encountered a curriculum that spent so much time thinking about what *quality* math instruction looks like. Thank you @IllustrateMath for your attention to detail & delivery #MTBoS#iteachmath
I swear our Google Home is jealous of our Alexa. Today I said, "Hey Google" then "oops, nevermind" and she said "Oh....alright" with a very slight attitude. She knows about Alexa, I'm sure of it.

If we go in-person this fall, just thinking about how many of my go-to strategies for instruction will have to look different. Pair-share, stand-&-talk, speed dating...why are the best ways to collaborate & learn also best ways to spread covid-19?! #iteachmath#mtbos
