Today, the politically scripted trial concocted by the lawless Department of State Services @OfficialDSSNG resumed at the Federal High Court. The case before the court is nothing more than naked retaliation for my truthful social media statements, where I described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu exactly as his record and conduct reveal him to be: a criminal, regardless of the propaganda deployed to mask it.

In a scene befitting an authoritarian farce, the DSS "prosecutor", Akinlolu Kehinde, SAN, appeared in court pleading for my detention, while attorneys representing @Facebook dutifully concurred with the FGN prosecuting team. This was not because I committed any offence, but because my voice threatens the @officialABAT regime. Their objective during today's arraignment was to cage dissent, soothe bruised egos, and manufacture the illusion that criticism can be criminalized in Nigeria.

Justice M. G. Umar, however, refused to perform in their poorly written script. Seeing through the absurdity, he granted me bail on self-recognizance, an unmistakable acknowledgment that this prosecution is an assault on free expression and a cowardly attempt to silence a person diametrically opposed to the failed regime; they didn't even hide it; the Prosecutor asked that the judge make me issue an undertaking not to incite the public against Tinubu.

I made my position unmistakably clear in open court, I will not be silenced, and that I will continue to challenge rotten policies, expose criminals in power, and speak truth to authority without apology. No security agency, no compromised prosecutor, and no dictator masquerading as a president will ever intimidate me into silence.
We are not backing down because Nigeria’s battered people must be rescued, and we will fight for them, no matter how many sham charges or fabricated trials are thrown our way.

Wike versus Naval Officer: A Lesson for National Reflection

The recent needless altercation between the FCT Minister, HE, Barr. Nyesom Wike and a Naval officer are yet another unfortunate reflection of the growing institutional disorder in our country. What should ordinarily be a routine civic encounter has, once again, become a national embarrassment— a typical example coming out of a 'disgraced country'

Beyond the personalities involved, this incident raises fundamental questions that demand honest national reflection:

Should the military be used for purely civil operations? If proper protocols were in place, should a Minister's intervention in such a matter be in such an indecorous manner?
Shouldn’t there be clear boundaries between administrative authority and the duties of security agencies?
What does this say about our respect for institutions and the separation of powers? Why are our men and women in uniform so often drawn into civilian disputes? Why has the culture of due process and civility given way to public spectacle and confrontation? If our institutions worked as they should, would tempers flare in situations that should be handled by clear procedure and hierarchy? Above all, what example do incidents like this set for our younger generation about leadership, discipline, and the rule of law?

These are not just questions about one incident - they go to the very heart of how our nation is governed. When public officials act beyond institutional norms, and when security agencies are used in ways that blur their professional boundaries, we weaken both governance and public trust.

We must learn from this episode. It is time to rebuild a nation where institutions are stronger than individuals; where public office is exercised with humility and restraint; where the dignity of our uniformed officers and the rights of every citizen are upheld.

A country that aspires to greatness and feels insulted when referred to as a disgraced nation must replace the culture of impunity with the discipline of law, order, and respect for due process.
Repeatedly, I have maintained that to occupy an office and be referred to as His Excellency, Distinguished or Honourable, how we get to such an office and our character and behaviour while holding it or out of it should reflect such exemplary titles in all ramifications.

The Petition of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Must Be Independently Investigated and Openly Discussed in a Public Hearing that the Accused Does Not Preside.

Two Demands:

1. Swiftly Appoint an Independent Investigator on the Petition of Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan. Cc: @icpcnigeria
2. Elevate the status of the proceedings on Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan by the Ethics and Privileges Committee into a Public Hearing for full transparency and disclosure.

Our National Assembly @nassnigeria which comprises the @NGRSenate and @HouseNGR belongs to the Nigerian People and not to politicians of any stripe and status.

This is why the National Assembly is called a Public Institution.

No individual nor collection of individuals and their groups can capture a Public Institution and use to their personal benefit or advantage.

Whenever a situation as the one involving Senators @NatashaAkpoti and @Senator_Akpabio occurs, the Lawmakers must understand the Nigerian public want transparency and full disclosure.

Dismissing a serious accusation against the Senate President just like the Senators irresponsibly did yesterday is a Democratic Aberration.

It cannot stand. Never.

What happened yesterday in the Senate Chamber where a Senate President presided over a grave matter involving him, was farcical and a blot on our Democracy.
