Part 2: Best Age to File for Social Security? The Breakeven Point
What is the best age to file for Social Security when planning retirement? When is the best time to file for Social Security when planning retirement? $SPY So after I complete the current bearish reversal trade, I will catch the next bottom as well.
I will continue to make conviction calls when I see them.
When Mary returned to the Garden Tomb, angels—and then the risen Savior Himself—asked her a simple, searching question: “Why weepest thou?” (John 20:15). At Easter, that same loving question is quietly extended to each of us.
I pray that you will find in your faith the light, the love, and the joy that He would have all of us feel at this sacred time of year.

Captain Craig and the guys at @t1alpha fading yesterday's Counter TREND Bounce
"Upside volatility is still volatility - yesterday's move provided enough realized volatility to cause our Strategic Allocation model, our core risk framework, to officially signal a Risk-Off environment"
Very, very bad news.
As I wrote in Material World, Ras Laffan is one of the most important industrial sites not just in the Gulf but in the world. LNG, helium, other products. Massive.
Whatever happens next, serious damage to this site could reverberate for months, maybe years.
US inflation today, according to millions of daily price data:
US CPI: 0.74%
US PCE: 1.27%
Tomorrow we'll learn the official US headline inflation numbers for January. The latest US CPI inflation for December was 2.7%. Will the BLS catch on to any of the recent disinflationary trends we are seeing across multiple price data categories?
We'll be discussing the BLS CPI inflation data release during our Spaces tomorrow, Feb 13, 8-9 AM ET.
Truflation's US headline inflation today holding below 1% since February, according to real price data:
US CPI: 0.93% Y/Y
US CPI core (excl energy and food): 1.29%
Goods inflation: 0.72%
Services inflation: 1.05%
BLS CPI for December: 2.7% Y/Y (the official government headline inflation)
The category breakdown shows that some product groups have now moved into deflation. We aggregate millions of price points from multiple service providers to calculate the daily US consumer price index, which has been shown to precede the official data trends and can be used in prediction models.
During the winter, days can feel heavy and gray.
As a regular part of their work before flights, pilots do outside checks of their aircraft. During cold and rainy days, this is not their favorite part of the job.
But one of my favorite experiences as a pilot on a day like that came after taking off and climbing through dark clouds when, suddenly, the aircraft climbed into the clear, brilliant, and beautiful sunlight—leaving behind dark clouds, rain, and slush.
That instant contrast taught me that when we focus our eyes on heaven, we can emerge into light—even during the seemingly darkest of days.
However thick the clouds, the sun is always there, waiting to shine on us as we rise toward heaven.
If you feel weighed down and troubled, please don’t lose heart. Keep moving forward and upward with faith, prayer, and trust in the Lord. His light is always there to lead and comfort us.
Congrats on the correct market consensus!
Today's US CPI inflation is 0.98% based on real-time actual price data collected by Truflation.
@Polymarket@Kalshi@coinbase, how about a prediction market settled with our data that doesn't shut down when the government does?
Sometimes the Lord asks us to step into responsibilities that feel bigger than we are. In those moments, I treasure the counsel, “Trust in the Lord” (Proverbs 3:5–6) and the Savior’s promise, “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you” (John 15:16).
When you feel you are not good enough for the task you have been called to do, remember: The Lord’s confidence gives you the ability to boldly move ahead. President Thomas S. Monson taught, “Whom the Lord calls, the Lord qualifies.”
Trust in the Lord.
Offer what you have and let Him make it perfect.
Move forward with humility and courage.
He will strengthen your works and magnify your consecrated efforts.
Many of you may not know this, but we have multiple different metrics for US inflation:
1) Our custom US CPI index with custom categories and weights that differ from the BLS CPI, currently at 1.21% Y/Y.
2) Our US PCE index, where we apply the weights and categories of the BEA PCE indexes to our price data, currently at 1.46% Y/Y.
3) and a BLS CPI Comparison Index, where we take our price data and apply the BLS weights and categories. That last index is actually 0.51% Y/Y, right now, which is even lower than our custom US CPI index.
If you apply the BLS CPI methodology to millions of price data points that we collect daily, you get near-zero inflation.
New beginnings are at the heart of the Father’s plan for His children. Fresh starts are the mission of the Son! Please receive your new beginning—even today, right now.
I'll be watching. This is incredible work that needs more attention. We need more minds like this attacking our worlds biggest problems. Thank you for what you're doing @drpatrick

“I’m gonna live so God can use me—anywhere, Lord, anytime.”
A new batch of hymns was released today, including this moving spiritual.
“Because of the importance of sacred music in the Church, the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve have been intimately involved in every aspect of the new hymnbook, including the selection of hymns to be included. These approvals have not been taken lightly.” — Elder Dale G. Renlund (@DaleGRenlund)
If you wait for sorrow to end before you experience joy, you might miss joy completely. Experiencing a measure of sorrow may enable your heart and mind to receive pure heavenly joy!
My mother was a profound example to me of trusting in the Lord during hard times. Many of you will likely be thinking about your mothers in connection with Mother’s Day in the United States this weekend.
When I was nearly five years old, my mother received word that her younger brother had been killed when the battleship on which he was serving was bombed off the coast of Japan near the end of World War II.
This news was devastating to her. She was very emotional and went into the bedroom. After a while, I peeked into the room to see if she was okay. She was kneeling by the bed in prayer.
A great peace came over me because she had taught me to pray to Heavenly Father and love the Savior. This was typical of the example she always set for me.
Mothers and fathers praying with children may be more important than any other example besides the life and ministry of our Savior Jesus Christ.
