This was the girlfriend’s last phone call with him. He stopped taking her calls thereafter.

The parents of the deceased student must have never anticipated that the matter will get escalated so much. What they did would have been easier if it was some random college. Their kid committed suicide after being caught cheating in exam. After realising the professor is not from the same caste, they charged SC/ST Act against him. Image of their kid saved, can play victim easily and also receive compensation from government. All gain and no loss. But it is not some random college and not some random professor. #IITBombay has strong alumni and faculty associations and they will not let the image of the institution & faculty be tarnished without any fault of theirs.
