@DavidLammy ‘Analogy time: one of my kids steals £20 from my wallet - grounded, severe reprimand. Lodger that I’ve invited into my house steals £20 from my wallet. Instantly expelled from my house. Really simple isn’t it
@Tweeettweeeety @BonsoirAnna @Karendu32435656@bphillipsonMP When you got a long term loan for going to university, don’t have to pay it back for years if at all and at some abnormally low rate. Who paid for that?
@Tweeettweeeety @BonsoirAnna @Karendu32435656@bphillipsonMP Did you pay 20% on your university fees or were you complaining then that someone was?
Anyone earning under 30k is being funded by higher tax payers. If you earn less than 40k and give to charity - who’s supplementing your tax relief? Go down that road if u want
@Tweeettweeeety @BonsoirAnna @Karendu32435656@bphillipsonMP So if 20% was suddenly added to your mortgage, car finance, other loans /credit you have - that would be your same attitude? ‘I’ll just find the extra 20%’ ????
A lot of people who pay fees are on the absolute limit. Their kids are settled in education.
@LBC If children aren’t fully responsible for their actions until they’re adults then parents have to take full responsibility for their actions. This is the perfect illustration of why you don’t bring these people and their un-evolved behaviour into this country.
@TheHarrisSultan The main problem is that the main token of reward in the Islamic faith /quran is of a sexual nature - virgins/multiple wives etc
The Islamic faith desperately needs its version of a New Testament to clearly define what is right and wrong
@1inhalfabillion @MattinW00lwich @BBCNewsnight@vicderbyshire Do you actually know anything about the issue surrounding the Chagos islands or are you just shining a light on your stupidity?
@cdw57@Patrici89225734@BBCNewsnight@vicderbyshire Is that the level of your political intelligence. If I haven’t heard of them, who cares? You might want to read up on it as it’s an issue that would have huge repercussions
@NannyOggsGreebo@Krazy1Kaz@LBC@HenryRiley1 Most of us are paying a portion of tax for things we never use. The Vat issue on private schools doesn’t affect anyone negatively (it actually takes stress off the state school sector) apart from the jealous. If even 10k move to state, the vat recouped won’t cover the costs
@NannyOggsGreebo@Krazy1Kaz@LBC@HenryRiley1 Also bear in mind those paying school fees are also paying tax (and no doubt a hell of a lot more than the average Joe) for state schools whilst not using their services
