I think my main frustration with the contest tuning is that it feels like it is targeted at the top 1000 players in the game, instead of the top 25000.

I would love to hear what bungie sees as the audience for contest in the future. if it is tuned for the top 1k, that's fine, but I don't think i'd try again in that case.
