Charlie Kirk's assassin was not "radicalized". He was not a radical. He was an average, default, base model leftist. I've had coworkers in nice tech jobs who talk like him. I've seen people at my church talk like him. The guys who doxxed me talk like him. People on CNN talk just like him.

The assassination stands out not for its tragedy, but for its normalicy. Tyler Robinson didn't leave behind some schizophrenic manifesto about the necessity of marijuana eco-eugenicsm. No, he left the same lines news organizations to this day use. "fascist". "harm narratives." "spreading hate." "White nationalism." "inflammatory statements". The shooter's ideology was indistinguishable from an MSNBC article, or any speech given in congress by any Democrat in both the house and the senate.

The killer was not some feral homeless person on the subway, nor some brain fried drug addict experiencing a psychotic break, He wasn't having a violent outburst due to stress. He was a normal, modal, basic, bland leftist- who decided to put his normal leftists beliefs into practice. Beliefs ~20% of Americans (those that vote Democrat) casually hold.This cannot be allowed to continue.

If Trump had not won, this still would have happened, except the killer would be declared to have been acting legally, as an approved outlet of the USAID machine. He would have gofundmes for his bail and a quick release through a Soros district attorney. It would not have made the news, and there would be no possibility of justice.

I am not in favor of doxxing leftists and getting them fired from their jobs, but it must happen. It must happen because these are the rules the left has asked for, the rules they have played by for two decades, the rules that celebrate assassination of milquetoast podcasters for no reason other than that they are publically republican. Allowing leftists to dance and spit on Charlie's grave is not "mercy", it is not "avoiding rocking the boat", it isn't "creating a stable and civilized society." It's suicide, its cowardice, and its a dereliction of duty towards right wing values of virtue, pragmatism, and law and order. You cannot gentle parent your way out of this. Leftist forums, the ones that Robinson frequented, the leftists on discord, bluesky, and reddit, have not changed, they say the same things, they advocate the same ideals. Even if you are not a right winger, you are integrity bound to understand that your values of cetrist civility are not going to win these people over or cause them to stand down. You are not going to earn their respect through being nice. They are not going to reciprocate decency. They view you as a fool, not a role model. That is not even on the table. Not for any of these people and not for any of their leaders, who are currently and already in power. You are not being moral. You are lying. You are lying to yourself, and you are acting as an agent to harbor terrorism under the flagrantly ineffective ideal of criminal reformation. And you need to stop.

In like manner to his shooter, Charlie Kirk views were not radical. He was a normal guy, with a normal family, with normal hobbies and a loving wife. I know dozens of people who talk just like him. This was not the assassination of some hyper offensive crank, one crackpot to another. It was the assassination of your coworker, your grandma, your pewmate, all the people you know who are "conservative, but don't really like talking about politics." It could have been any of them, if they were just a slight bit more outspoken. This is the political situation in America. Leftists keep telling us, constantly, that if they are not met with overwhelming force, they intend to go right back to how things were, right back to the state sponsoring the lifestyles of those who would assassinate and more your normal, regular, basic, normal friends and family. They do not want to leave you alone, they want you broke, dead, your kids raped and brainwashed, and they think its funny. The fact that you hold these ideals at all counts as provocation in their minds. If you were on the other side of the planet they would still advocate your disenfranchisement. Treating them as anything less than absolutely hostile, holistically hostile, is complicity. And for what? Because you couldn't be bothered? You cannot afford to not be bothered. There are no values they will not be offended by, there is nothing pure or lasting that they are not coming for.

I want charity too. I would prefer not to be mean to people. I like civility and peace. I want to believe in "talking things out." But if you want that world, the one Charlie Kirk himself strove for, you have to acknowledge this reality: "Being Nice" only works when you are carrying a very, very large stick.

Libertarianism has no real defense mechanism against Progressivism because its entire worldview is built on refusing to accept why people divide themselves into Progressives or Libertarians or Conservatives or Liberals in the first place.

It doesn't want to answer what society is for, what people it should protect, what norms it should uphold, or what worldview it should promote. It wants to leave all these questions to each and every private individual.

The only enemy Libertarianism has is collectivism, and the only cause it fights for is non-aggression against the individual.

But no institution or movement can survive on that basis alone forever. Politics is by definition a collective endeavor. Every organization, from Reddit and Wikipedia to the Cato Institute and the Libertarian Party itself, has to eventually decide what it exists to protect and what it is willing to fight against.

Progressives are willing to answer those questions in ways Libertarians never can because the Libertarian fights for the individual.

So what happens when you open the gates in the name of defending individualism to Progressives, who freely choose to walk into an institution and begin enforcing their vision of Progressive morality upon it?

The contradiction always results in Libertarians inadvertently paving the way for a Leftist takeover, because Leftism has figured out how to use Libertarian principles for Progressive ends.

It knows when to code-switch between appealing to Libertarian individualism in order to get a foot in the door, and Progressive collectivism to solidify its control and purge anyone who runs afoul of Leftist morality.

This is why every single Libertarian organization or project inevitably devolves into a Progressive mockery of its original stated purpose. Look at what happened to Wikipedia, the Cato Institute, or the Libertarian Party itself. All of these things have been converted into vehicles for Progressivism, not Liberty.

And this just keeps happening because Libertarianism itself contains a fatal flaw within its own metaphysics that renders it utterly incapable of engaging in politics, because the entire point of Libertarianism is to escape the political, not to control it.

It sees politics as something akin to the Ring of Sauron, which needs to be chucked into the flames and destroyed.

But politics is that which you cannot escape.
