We may have applauded NZs leadership during the pandemic but this article has left me feeling distraught. The legislation passed is beyond horrific. And yet so little comment on it.
We're delighted to let you know about this utterly brilliant new devotional from our wonderful friend @hilsgrew pastor @trinitychelt. We wholeheartedly commend it to you!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS! However dark things are, we pray you will know the comfort and joy that comes from God. We pray you will know and see his light shining in the darkness -God is with us.
#joytotheworld
I think sometimes we read Joy in the bible and misunderstand it’s meaning and relevance: Joy is the deep-down sense of well-being that abides in the heart of the person who knows all is well between himself and the Lord. It is well with my soul = Joy
£2.50 to buy a health card that guarantees treatment at hospital for three years for poor people without them having to take on crippling debt. Nadine's daughter died for the lack of that £2.50, which is SO WRONG. So join us in helping poor folk get one.

In these dark and difficult days,
Turn your face towards us,
Have mercy upon us,
And heal our land we pray."
Pause now, and pray with @PeteGreig.

If someone asked "Who are you?", what would you say? This 365-day devotional for women, by Hils Grew, explores this most fundamental theme of identity. Who is God? Who are we? And why this matters more than anything. https://t.co/BneqbPx9Hs
@TimHeeley@mrbeechy Similarly, in our quite big church, we've always said you only grow bigger by growing smaller - investing in personal connections, small groups etc as much as, or more than, in the bigger gathered settings. Easier said than done, of course!
Yes, that's what I mean and I agree. Totally understand why we instinctively prefer a 'scalable' option, courses etc - 'how to help grow the most number of people in the most efficient way' - but then I remember Jesus didn't do that!
@revieg For me 1-1 long term allows depth of trust etc for sharing and deeper impact. Then of course we need the journeying with a smaller group - set within a wider church community. Is this what you mean? I just think we need more focused 1-1 work across our churches.
