Very well-written piece. Although I do not personally LOVE The Muppet Christmas Carol as much as others do, the fact that it has connected with so many people and is regarded as a beloved Christmas classic is something to be admired

The thesis posed in the title is a bit extreme, but this piece really hits the nail on the head. Disney simply doesn't know how to replicate the magic of The Muppet Christmas Carol, but it's definitely possible.
