I had my whole game working like a Toverstaf out of Harry Potter, it actually felt good and fun and then out of no where higher ups decided to remove all the gyro magic from upcoming Apple TV devices :-(

@KenneyNL @PlayStation @GOGcom @Steam Passion and dedication. Physical media for games has been on death row since Steve Jobs dropped support for the cd/dvd drive on Mac, ha. I remember buying Forza 2 super dupa deluxe edition on @Xbox and updating for hours and only needing the disc to start up, it ran from HDD. :-(

That's why GOG / Dosbox & ScummVM and https://t.co/EFoUEYNE4T are so important. A disc only holds the data, I care more about the games and keeping them running forever than having a silly disc in 2026+

@KenneyNL @PlayStation @GOGcom @Steam I wish it was still so simple. When was the last time you bought a console or PC game that didnt need day 1 patching or updates now to run? The game disc is just a glorified copy protection system and not really the game content. I moved fully digital.

Sony didn't start the fire. I want better digital rights protection. No removing my content because of 'funny' rights issues. No, my purchase is final. Atleast GOG clarified that.

I should still have my Half Life 2 box, CD and steamcode somewhere, ha. Toen was geluk nog gewoon ofzo.

@KenneyNL @PlayStation Ha, I love living in past too. @GOGcom saved most of those games. My old PC collection, just like everyone else's is only collecting dust. @Steam killed the physical disk with patient zero - Half Life 2. Playstation needs to improve consumer digital rights!
