The family of Twisha Sharma — former Miss Pune, MBA graduate, former employee at a German company, and sister of an Indian Army Major — has now registered a dowry death case, alleging that months of mental harassment, financial pressure, and abuse led to her death just five months after her marriage.

Twisha’s aunt, has made serious allegations against her husband and in-laws. According to her, everything was fine as long as Twisha was working. But after she lost her job following marriage, the family allegedly began pressuring her and calling her parents, asking, “How will we keep her in the house if she earns nothing? How will we bear her expenses?”

The family also alleges that Twisha was pressured to transfer her savings into a joint account after her in-laws found out about the money she had saved. Her aunt claims Twisha was repeatedly asked to move the funds and was mentally tortured over finances, employment, and household expectations.

Rejecting the suicide narrative, the family alleges Twisha was murdered. Her aunt claims the postmortem revealed multiple bruises and injury marks on her body, including on her chest, ear, hands, and legs. The family says they are determined to fight for justice as the dowry death investigation continues.

As the new Chief Minister of Bengal takes oath, I expect that he upholds the oath itself. He & his government must serve every individual of Bengal across all casts, religion & language who voted for him and those who didn’t. He has to walk the talk about Bengals holistic growth & prosperity.

And pretence wont last & masks will fall off if the heart isn’t in the right place.
