Today is the day I’ve been training for for four months, the OKC Memorial Marathon. At 45, I’m intimidated and nervous. Woke up at 4:30 to prep for go time at 6:30. The month leading up to this has been tough and full of obstacles, but I’m as ready as I can be. Let’s do this.
Hear me out, ripe avocado, fresh red onion, spoonful of salsa, dash of cumin, and a lot of everything but the bagel seasoning all mashed together. Perfection. (No photo available, already gone.)

Pros of my daughter attending a 30 person school, TOO MANY TO LIST. Cons of attending a 30 person school, Covid shuts it all down for two weeks when a positive case hits.
I’m tired of apps that keep track of “streaks”. Puts undue stress on me. My HRV tracking app, my quotes review app, my food and exercise logging apps all shoehorn it in. Not sure why I give them so much power over my stress levels.
@JasonFitz1 I would have started my hamstring exercises the second I felt a twinge instead of nine months after daily pain. One month and all pain is gone, though mileage is at an all time high.
Ate fried catfish last night, ruined my run this morning. Gotta do better for that @OKCMarathon prep. The choice is to run later in the heat or do two hours on a treadmill. Ouch either way.
