NEAR's newest innovation, Chain Signatures, was announced at @buidl_asia yesterday and this is a GAME CHANGER to abstract the fragmented blockchain UX away from users and developers!

In short, they are revolutionizing secure multi-party computation to jointly sign a transaction without revealing their individual private keys. They also allow users to store private keys to ECDSA-based chains (encrypted) on NEAR so one NEAR account can control multiple accounts on different chains (this is known as Account Aggregation). This allows developers to build multi-chain apps, sponsor gas for users, and abstract all the blockchain complexity away from the end user (Chain Abstraction).

NEAR's Chain Signatures currently supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cosmos chains, Dogecoin, XRP, and will soon support Solana, TON, Polkadot. In practice, @LinearProtocol is using them to enable $NEAR to be re-staked on @eigencloud, @EASTBlue_io to develop Bitcoin DeFi, @SweatEconomy to send transactions from NEAR to the BNB chain and pay for the gas in $SWEAT, and many more use cases to come.
