@ericdchristen@JLucroy20 Why experiment on them when they'll just kill themselves? That's what you & your ilk want. Whose soul needs checking again?
@rennaestubbs@shannonrwatts Nominate a woman again in 2028 when people are sick of Trump & Rs. Hillary and Kamala had to try to defend an outgoing D's seat, which is a lot harder to do these days.
@klcmurphy@atrupar It's not that she's a woman. It's that it's simply bad timing. Again. Clinton and Harris both faced the same political headwinds while trying to succeed an incumbent of their own party. Nominate a woman in 2028 when voters are sick of Trump, and the outcome will be far different.
Here's how the election results settled in the Wisconsin State Senate.
Democrats won all four of the closest races -- Jodi Habush Sinykin (SD8), Sarah Keyeski (SD14), Kristin Alfheim (SD18), Jamie Wall (SD30) -- and will put the balance of power in play in 2026.
A few things:
-2026 cycle should be much friendlier to D's under this scenario, especially in WI's state level races
-Hillary/Kamala both ran with a D in the White House. Winning that way is a tall order w/how this country behaves. We *can and will* elect a woman.

The Baldwin-Hovde race is turning into the cliffhanger we are used to seeing at the presidential level in WI. Hovde is up right now by almost 70K but lots of Dem votes outstanding in MKE and Racine counties (and more GOP votes in assorted smaller counties)
Want an example of a broken system? Florida DIDNβT βrejectβ the proposal to include a right to abortion in the constitution β they voted 58.2% in favor of abortion rights. But it needed 60% to pass, so it failed WITH A MAJORITY.
Canβt imagine what Florida women must be thinking.
