This is, indeed, a mask off moment. Here a newly minted academic declares without a hint of self doubt that a proposition obvious to almost everyone not too long ago, and obvious to many now—that not all cultures have the same contemporary capacity for constitutional self-government—is bigoted and racist. It is arguments like this and the cavalier confidence with which they are freely asserted in the halls of academia that make everything Trump wants to do to the universities seem so eminently justified.

One of the criticisms you sometimes hear of communism is: "It sounds good in theory, but it never works in practice." But that's not true. It doesn't sound good in theory.

The world it envisions for all of us is small, flat and gray - leveled of all exception, drained of all that is good and noble in the human soul. It is a world without courage, creativity, or ambition; without heroes or glory or great causes to strive towards. Without miracles.

Without myths. Without men who rise above the rest to do incredible and extraordinary things. Without God.

For these architects of revolutionary violence, the towering achievements of our civilization are an unbearable humiliation - a reminder of what they cannot do or be.

So they choose to destroy. They attack pipelines, railroads, laboratories, power grids: the physical, embodied symbols of power, invention and achievement.

My lasting memory of Lindsey Graham, and perhaps the achievement for which he deserves to be remembered, is that he played an unlikely but pivotal role in finally exposing the Russiagate hoax almost exactly six years ago.

After persistent pressure, Lindsey succeeded in obtaining the Rosetta Stone of the Russiagate hoax, the FBI's January 2017 interview notes with Christopher Steele's supposed super source, Igor Danchenko. In those notes, Danchenko admitted that the dossier was based largely on bar talk, gossip and rumors, and that he had no firsthand knowledge of anything. This did not just expose Steele's lies. It revealed that the FBI had continued advancing allegations it knew from the outset were false.

Lindsey could have done nothing at all, slow walked the release, selectively disclosed portions of the material, or tried to maximize the political benefit for himself. Instead, he simply released the full interview notes. From those documents, we were able to identify Danchenko, and with that, the entire Russiagate narrative was exposed as the total fraud it had always been.
