How fast is the average person actually running?

🏃‍♂️ 5K → around 34:00
🏃‍♂️ 10K → about 1:12:00
🏃‍♂️ Half Marathon → roughly 2:30:00
🏃‍♂️ Marathon → somewhere near 5:20:00

But here’s the part people don’t talk about.

Most of the numbers you see come from race results…
which means they’re already skewed toward people who trained for it.

That’s not the true “average person.”

Reality is… a lot of people can’t even run these distances without stopping.

So if you can go out there and cover it, even slowly, even messy…
you’re already ahead.
