Early tomorrow (5/11) UK-based @paragraphplanet will feature my 75-word story "A Whisker." Next day, someone else's 75-worder. On their site, you can read back a month's worth or much more. Going strong since 2008. If you've never visited, explore: https://t.co/GbMluEhclu
If you never read @LynneBarrett's "What Editors Want; A Must-Read for Writers Submitting to Literary Magazines"...you should!
From The Review Review archive! We had so much fun watching this piece blow up.

Just published! My ghost story (or is it?) "Adultery in Modern Massachusetts," in 34 Orchard's Autumn issue, along with lots of others exploring the liminal and what we carry with us. https://t.co/I0dJRowlqs (Which is downloadable, with a modest donation of $1.99 requested.)

I've come across A LOT of good 17th- and 18th-century Quaker names over the past 3.5 years, as I've worked on my thesis. Now that my thesis is done and submission is near, it's time to share the more than 90 wildest early Quaker names I've found (in alphabetical order):
For @CrimeReads, @craigtimes traces the path that @vickihendricks took from FIU MFA class assignment to the publication of MIAMI PURITY, a landmark in female noir. https://t.co/IyMFySmYew
The results are in and unsurprising. Putting aside the six matchups of 6-6 or worse teams, 12 out of 13 6-6 teams finished their seasons 6-7. Wisconsin alone was able to beat a better-record-ed opponent.
My annual college football too-many-bowl-games lament. Unofficial count has 19 of 84 teams with 6-6 records or worse (Rice at 5-7 fills the last slot because there weren't enough mediocre teams available). Six games are scintillating matchups of 6-6 teams. Heart, be still!
