PhD candidate in War Studies, Swedish Defence University @Forsvarshogsk. Studying the use of military coercion in NATO peace support ops. Usual caveats etc.
Hard disagree.
Anti-communism was necessary.
McCarthyism was a grifting mutation that used the skinsuit of anti-communism, and with its incompetence/corruption proceeded to discredit it for a generation, opening the doors to communist infiltration of a variety of institutions.
The Montreal shooter’s manifesto has a section where he comes down hard on the timely issue of supporting the Royalists over the Roundheads and opposing the ascension of William of Orange and subsequent foundation of the Bank of England
I can see why girls didn’t like him
>Allowed to rape infinite people for 30 years by Stalin
>Finally gets shot during an unrelated coup after Stalin dies
"Man, communism protects kids"
Again, there is just no coherent position where you rail about "NATO's war in Ukraine" (AKA completely whitewashing the country that invaded), while spending your entire existence screaming about ISRAEL. It just does not make any sense if you're trying to convince anyone that you have any sort of principles.
The left has declared that the 20th century is non-canonical and we're rebooting from 1890s Viennese cafes. We ask questions like "what will life be like under communism" and "do Jews need a state" as if we don't have a century's worth of data that has settled this.
