For the films on timeline to make sense he needs to have been locked up in 1962-1963, escaped, then arrested again in under 6 months 1963, then escaped again sometime in 1972 before getting caught again in under 6 months

@Brian_T_Collins @FunMovieTVFan I'd say the bigger flaw is that Connery plays the two roles completely different- Mason has none of the charm and sophistication of Bond and has all the rough edges Terence Young sanded off Connery. They don't feel like the same man at all.

Iron Man 3 has him meaningfully engage with his PTSD, features his supporting cast and pays off the relationships and emotional arcs built over the trilogy.

With its opening numbers it should have easily crossed 1 billion, but it didn't.
BvS failing to compete was part of the problem.
