@manualwise There’s an eerily similar thread in my feed from somebody in Budapest, having the exact same complaint down to the overuse of emojis, but with @woltapp instead of @mjam, HUF instead of EUR, 🙏 instead of ☺️. It all works great until it doesn't.

We have an EKS node group called “worker”, running our production workloads, that Terraform cannot update in-place and has to recreate. I’ve decided to create a temporary node group called “contractor” to take over the workloads until further notice.

@skamille Busted… Ever since learning about a system’s essential vs accidental complexity, I thought a “complex” system solved an essentially complex problem, whereas a complicated system meant the system carried accidental complexity in the form of tech debt or over-engineering.

@justinkan @paulg While in high school I wrote a plug-in called LyricsAMP for Winamp 3 that ended up being the 3rd most downloaded plug-in. It caught the eye of an entrepreneur out of SF who saw potential in mentoring an 18 y/o. 19 years and 3 companies later, we are still going strong 💪🏻
