I used to think great architecture was the key to building great iOS apps.
I do not think that anymore.
Over the last few months, working with AI 🤖 and freelancing 💼 changed how I see engineering.

Wrote a short recap on what I'm seeing in iOS + AI lately ✍️
Curious if this matches your experience too

This job doesn't feel the same as it did a year ago, and I think that is just the beginning 👀
Next year, I'll probably think the same thing, making the same comparison with the current state
Not one, but six new Agent Skills! Early adopters improved Xcode build times by 78%.

After weeks of work, I launched my latest Agent Skill at Let’s Vision in Shanghai. Here’s how it works:
It runs 3 clean + 3 incremental builds
It analyzes build logs and project settings
It proposes an optimization plan
It applies improvements after you approve
It re-benchmarks and reports the improvement
All free → try it on your Xcode projects.
Let me know how it goes in the replies, and open a PR if you add your results to the README!

@dadederk Honestly, you’re one of the strongest voices pushing iOS accessibility forward.
Very few people advocate for doing it properly as consistently as you do.
The community is better because of it 🙌🏻
We now have multiple Accessibility Skills to pick from! Apart from @dadederk’s, there’s one from Roberto Gómez and Pasquale Vittoriosi. I’d suggest to use this week’s SwiftLee article as guidance in picking the best one for you.

Really appreciate you including my accessibility skill in the repository, @twostraws.
Accessibility is a core part of building great Apple platform experiences, so it’s great to see it highlighted alongside other Swift skills.
Now, you're probably thinking "this is great! But how would I have known about these if you hadn't told me?" Well, I'm also releasing a new GitHub repository curating agent skills for Swift developers – SwiftUI, SwiftData, accessibility, ASO, and more. https://t.co/SThS9XkmAI
4 new Agent Skills for iOS development, a 9-step framework for choosing the right Agent Skill, a new iOS 26 SwiftUI modifier.
It's what's in tomorrow's SwiftLee Weekly:

Appreciate the mention at the end of the thread. It’s honestly an honor to see one of my skills referenced there.
Also worth saying: Daniel is a real accessibility guru. I’ve learned a lot from his work over the years.
I've just published a first version of an Agent Skill for iOS Accessibility.
I first learned about Agent Skills from a video by @twannl and he suggested someone should do one for accessibility. So I did.
A few thoughts on what it is, what it isn't 🧵

It’s so great to see more and more agent skills popping up! Having a choice is luxury, and it allows us to pick the skills that we believe we need for building our apps.
Daniel helped me make one of my apps accessible and even wrote a guest article on SwiftLee, definitely worth checking out!
