@CAChirag U should quit this profession... If u can't stand by professionals...
I saw ur cover pic, sitting in PM's feet, I also voted BJP, but today I understood that was my biggest mistake....
Tax Audit Extended Date - 31st October Instead of 21st October. Was That Too Much to Ask?
Let me be clear. The government has extended the deadline from 30th September to 21st October, and I appreciate that. I also understand the argument that taxpayers are expected to complete their compliances on time.
But my only concern is simple.
Why 21st October and not 31st October?
India is currently in the festive season, with celebrations and family gatherings taking place across the country. Taxpayers and tax professionals are human beings too. They have families, festivals and social commitments beyond their professional responsibilities.
An extension of just 10 more days would have provided meaningful relief to thousands of taxpayers and tax professionals. Moreover, extending the tax audit deadline does not mean a loss of tax revenue for the government.
I am not denying the extension. I appreciate it.
I am only asking for a little more sensitivity towards the people who make tax compliance possible.
Sometimes, relief is not just about extending a deadline. It is also about understanding the circumstances in which people are expected to meet it.

Dear @IncomeTaxIndia
If you are considering extending tax audit due date, do it today itself.
There is no use extending it on last date. If you have taken this matter on ego, stick to last date provided and issue a statement that it will not be extended.
