On behalf of Tamil Nadu BJP Professional Cell, we have submitted a representation to Hon'ble FM Smt. @nsitharaman avl & Chairman, CBDT @incometaxIndia seeking a one-time extension of due date for furnishing Tax Audit Reports (Form 3CA/3CB + 3CD) for AY 2026-27 from 30th Sep 2026 to 31st Oct 2026.

🚨Extend Tax Audit due date today!!

Work started at 8 AM on this Sunday morning!!
One of the toughest audit seasons in many years.

ITR due dates were staggered to 31st July/31st August, perhaps to ease pressure on the IT infrastructure without thinking the impact on Auditors/tax payers with an unreasonably short window for completing tax audits.

Please listen to stakeholders and rationalise the due dates permanently. There should be at least a two month gap between the ITR due date and the Tax Audit due date.

For this year, the immediate need is clear :-
Extend Tax Audit due date today.

Around 60 organisation wrote to @IncomeTaxIndia and @nsitharaman for extension of tax audit due date from 30 sep to 31 Oct.
Even 50% work has not been completed till date.
This happened because of shifting due date of Non audit ITR.
Kindly take note of this many taxpayers and tax professionals are suffering
