#NHLJets Haydn Fleury, a pending UFA, says he would love to re-sign in Winnipeg. Says he loved playing in a market “where hockey matters” and being able to show his son what a hockey team means to the community as it does here.
It’s tough to put into words how much Mark Scheifele means to the city of Winnipeg. Our first draft pick… Has chosen to spend his entire career in the city… We just love him so much. Hearing him say he’s playing and that it’s what his dad would have wanted… man 🥺
We have your back 55 ❤️
But Ken, you see, Winnipeg had more power plays than Dallas at that point of the game AND they have the lead, so therefore under Game Management Section 123 subsection BS that was the only way to call it.
#NHLJets top line center and starting goaltender on the road in these playoffs:

The debate about the Dallas “kicked” goal is one thing, but in what hockey universe can a player, Mason Marchment, wack a referee on the leg with his stick while screaming at him over a missed call, and not get suspended? The NHL I guess. Mind-boggling.
Seems like a very slippery slope to allow what was clearly an angry player making contact with a referee to slide without any further issue.
This is the same league that cracked down hard on Ottawa (25K fine) for shooting a couple pucks in a friendly manner during warmups.
Rule 37.4: "A goal cannot be scored on a play where an attacking Player propels the puck with his skate into the net (even by means of a subsequent deflection off of another Player) using a “distinct kicking motion.”
Hellebuyck is the goaltender trying to make the save. Complete botch by the officials on this.
Goalies trying to make a save off a distinct kicking motion should not be penalized for trying to do their job. I don’t care that Hellebuyck deflected the puck into his own net and the rule (ii) explains how it shouldn’t be a goal.
#NHLJets lose to #Stars 5-2, Hellebuyck 21 saves. Connor & Neiderreiter the goals. Next is Game 4 Tues night, Dallas leads series 2-1.
IMO Refs wording of propelling puck is covering their call on ice. It was kicked, plain & simple. Nothing is propelled if not kicked at net...
