Time for a tweeprint of our latest paper!
We found that neuron densities follow a lognormal distribution within and across cerebral cortical areas in several species! 🧠🐒🐁🧍

During the Concluding Event of the Human Brain Project at @fz_juelich, young scientists early in their career shared in spotlight talks their scientific achievements and how they used the services of @EBRAINS_eu for advancing their work #CelebratingHBP
I was honored to be able to present some of our recent work on adaptable and reusable workflows for cortical wave analysis.
Some of it can also be found in this preprint https://t.co/kZJ1BMA6v8
Early career researchers covered a range of topics - including #simulation, #data sharing, and high performance computing - in the flash talks session at the HBP concluding event #CelebratingHBP

Additionally, the test can also compare synaptic weight matrices.
In rewiring experiments, we measure which connectivity properties have an over- or under-proportional effect on the spiking correlations.
Thus, presenting a means to measure effects of the network dynamics 🧠🕸

I'm very excited to finally see this published. Let me tell you about it:

We demonstrate how the similarity score correctly indicates correlated subgroup structures between network realizations.
The test complements classical tests (e.g Kolmogorov-Smirnov) because it compares the organization of correlations in a network instead of just the amount.
