I've said this for some time, girls shouldn't choose to marry, if they can. Makes no sense. At least not a guy. That too not in India. Definitely not when arranged by parents. Absolutely shouldn't when they have to go live with the guy's parents.
Unmarried and childless women are the happiest subgroup in the population. And they are more likely to live longer than their married and child-rearing peers, according to a leading expert in happiness.

The theatre of the privileged: can’t cook, can’t clean, can’t manage kids, can’t drive, can’t walk the dog… and now apparently can’t carry shopping bags either.
The availability of cheap labor in India has created an entire class of adults without basic life skills.

I wrote about what we should and should not expect our MLAs to do.
Expecting them to fix local garbage collection or pot holes on our streets is to ruin our own governance prospects in the long run.

I sincerely hope this leads to a mass talent exodus from OAI to Anthropic.
Until now, it was possible to brush off Anthropic’s principles as empty promises — they sounded good, but in some sense they were still untested. Sure, Anthropic had delayed certain features (like giving Claude access to the internet) while they pursued additional safety testing, but it wasn’t clear if that approach would hold when real pressure arrived.
But now the answer is clear: Anthropic is an organization with principles, one that is willing to put their money where their mouth is. Dario will stand up to an administration that has cowed every other notable tech leader into submission, including Sam.
I am personally terrified of what AI will mean for the world. I’m not sure anyone, no matter how principled, can effectively steer the ship. But I do know that Sam and OAI definitively cannot. Sam serves Moloch knowingly — he does so with no reservations.
So, if I have to entrust this ship to anyone, it’d be Dario. He, along with all the incredible folks I’ve gotten to know at Anthropic, are the reason I still have hope for the future.
MacKenzie Scott gave more in 2025 than Musk, Page, Ellison, and her ex-husband, Bezos, have in their lifetimes combined.
Let that sink in, folks.

Maybe I’m too much of a European, but I honestly can’t understand how so many Americans find it perfectly natural to be shot in the head on the spot for the slightest act of disobedience toward any sort of law enforcement. You might wanna revisit that "land of the free" thing.
We're now up to SEVEN people being cured of HIV after receiving stem cell transplants.
These people were being treated for cancer, received bone marrow transplants, and woke up resistant to HIV.
Right now Vaishnavi Sundar is in the middle of her talk: ‘Decoding the Brazen Mindset of Men Committing Public Sexual Terrorism in India’.
We are learning about the horrific violence and sexual abuse men subject women and girls to from a young age. This ranges from staring to sexual exposure and masturbation on public transport.
She ended by talking about the sexual abuse of animals by men. It was a truly moving and saddening presentation.

🇪🇸 Breaking | Spanish prime minister Pedro Sanchez announces “nine immediate actions” against the “genocide in Gaza”:
1. Urgent approval of a Royal Decree Law that legally consolidates the arms embargo on Israel that we have been implementing since October 2023 and establishes a legal and permanent ban on the purchase and sale of weapons, ammunition, and military equipment to that country.
2. Prohibition of transit through Spanish ports for all ships carrying fuel destined for the Israeli armed forces.
3. Denial of entry into Spanish airspace to all state aircraft transporting defense material destined for Israel.
4. Prohibition of entry into Spanish territory for all persons directly involved in genocide, human rights violations, and war crimes in the Gaza Strip.
5. Ban on the import of products from illegal settlements in Gaza and the West Bank, with the aim of combating these occupations, halting the forced displacement of Palestinian civilians, and keeping the two-state solution alive.
6. With the same objective, limiting consular services provided to Spanish citizens residing in illegal Israeli settlements to the minimum legally required assistance.
7. Strengthening our support for the Palestinian Authority by increasing our number of personnel at the European Union Border Assistance Mission in Rafah and establishing new collaborative projects with the Palestinian Authority in the areas of agriculture, food security, and medical assistance.
8. Expanding our contribution to UNRWA with an additional 10 million euros to assist the Gazan population.
9. Increase in humanitarian aid and cooperation for Gaza to reach €150 million by 2026.
📌 Some notable quotes:
"This isn't self-defense, it's not even attacking, it's exterminating a defenseless people. It's breaking all the laws of humanitarian law"
"The Spanish government believes that protecting your country is one thing and bombing hospitals and starving innocent children is quite another."
