A weekly podcast where two ladies of advertising talk about advertising - ads we love, ads we hate, ads that make us go, "WTF?" and everything in between.
We’ve been dreaming of attending #SXSW for years, and we were incredibly excited to finally call that dream a reality this year. But this virus is no joke and they made the right decision to cancel. Hopefully we’ll make it happen another year!
@Adweek@Clorox Branded music is one of the few tactics that feels "untainted". The brands that have done it, have done it well (Clorox, Kool-Aid, Wendy's, Hamburger Helper). Other brands know they can't pull it off so they don't even try. I hope it stays that way. #AdweekChat
@Adweek@BurgerKing I applaud the creativity and balls it took to make this happen, but you have to think about more than the ad industry for this kind of work. We may love it. But the general public just wants to vom. #AdweekChat
A new episode of Rock Hard Ads is live, and it features some seriously funky chickens. Check out "Chicken Choreographers and Dirty Pop-Ups" on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and anywhere else you get your podcasts.
@MaverickAdverts@Adweek I’m with you. I felt like it would’ve been way better with regular people with Boston accents. Knowing John Krasinski doesn’t sound like that really took away from it for me. #adweekchat
@adyear@Adweek Agreed. It felt like a total waste. Why kill off a character just to be like “JK I’m back!” and not use that opportunity to promote a new product or ANYTHING. #adweekchat
@Adweek@Chiefs Jeep had all the elements of a great Super Bowl ad - nostalgia, comedy, and a celebrity used in a purposeful and relevant way. #AdweekChat
