@AmyDyckman29 I chose Arnold too, realistically no one else neccesarily came to my mind, as I feel like he's one of the more prominent celebrities turned leader, as as far as I know, hes one of the few celebrities to have actually held any kind of political office.
@CasasantaM07 It's definitely interesting to think of Dwayne as a leader, but I suppose it makes sense. Personally I don't often follow his philanthropy or anything, so it's not something about him that really comes to mind.
I gotta say, this is a tough one to respond to, as I'm not super attuned with celebrity culture. But if I had to mention a Celebrity it would be someone like Arnold Schwarzenegger. As he's a bodybuilder/Actor who eventually got into politics as the governor of California

@sh1516_hanif Hi Shahraiz, I definitely agree that social media has very much changed the way which brands and individuals need to advertise themselves, which I think is most likely due to the increased expectation for people to be more open and transparent online than they would be otherwise.
@BuechertMelissa Hi Melissa, I think I shared an article somewhat similar to this, and I definitely agree about the power an active social media presence can have in making a brand or company more (or less in the case of some CEOs) desirable to engage with. Smaller store utilize similar tactics.
@MiddletonTam314 Hi Tianna, I thought the article was really interesting in how the Fenty brand utilized the popularity of a celebrity in order to help widen the options for makeup, as I understand how other brands may often ignore certain skin tones and such in their main lines.

Ruben, B. D. (2006). What leaders need to know and do: A leadership competencies scorecard. Washington, DC: NACUBO
This article touches on the idea of company Ceos being on social media and pros and cons associated with it. This directly correlates with the idea of Rubens (2006) organizational and communication competencies as it relates to interacting with ones audience/customers.

This is somewhat of a personal leader, but I think DAmazing here honestly fits Krauss' (2013) definition of a leader pretty well. His work tends to inspire others, in my experience, to get better at their own hobbies. It's hard to explain exactly unfortunately.

I found this class to be relatively interesting, all things considering, I even kind of wish it was in person instead of asychchronus somewhat. While I don't think it neccesarily changed my opinions on any technology, it was interesting to learn. Have a nice summer!

I guess my overall biggest takeaway from the class would probably be the sheer scale of impact that technologies, especially stuff like the internet and social media, have on our day to day lives. #DigiTechS22B
@BrettDCIM I can definitely see that happening. As long as car companies work out any kinks associated with self driving technology at the moment (mostly running into people), it probably will shift to the norm just because people are lazy.
@rukaitlynrose Personally, I think it's possible, but due to the funding, or more accurately lack of it for most public schools, I don't see it happening any time in the near future mostly due to the price of VR equipment.
@dhavnag_ Yeah, I can definitely see that happening. Just like a lot of similar consoles, the early models always start off relatively expensive for the time, but then over time they become more commonplace and someone cheaper.

Personally I believe that the use of online services such as discord as a primary means of communication for people will increase in the future. Partially this is due to the convinience aspect, but also the fact that they allow users to talk with others in real time
@OceloltXelhua I'm somewhat curious on how you plan to write a paper just based on one social media platform. While TikTok is a large enough platform, I feel like it would be somewhat hard to expand upon that to the point of a paper, but I am interested to see how you do it.
