@bectu@CreativeWales Philippa makes a very good point about training. We need more in work funded positions for factual television freelancers. Training solely for school age and graduates isn’t working, especially for the regions. Need industry roles for both entry level and beyond.
Creative West Wales Network workshop at @CardiganCastle 🙌 Progressive insightful perspective about working collaboratively & creatively in our region from screenwriter Caryl Lewis, CEO Dilwyn Davies from @mwldan and exec producer @JustineCatt. @yr_egin@CreativeWales@carys_ifan
Dai iawn @ScreenAllianceW & @bbcstudios doc unit / a successful evening. Good connections made and for seeing old colleagues. Look forward to the next one.
Great event last night. We were at BBC Central Square for a networking event for documentary filmmakers we'd arranged together.
Hopefully not the last, and next time we'll be able to accommodate the full group who applied to attend.

Can you film more sustainably?
Well @Sustrans lent us a cargo bike last week..within 30min I’d used it to transport my camera kit to film actors. Sturdy, nimble round town, parked outside.. Change is coming, try it!

Working in TV it’s been very difficult not to fly but I haven’t for holidays for about 5yrs now. I’ve done sleeper trains into Europe, think they’re great, and will always check to see if we can get somewhere by train first.

@Independent There are no applications for a Coronation street party in my county, Ceredigion, for Charles. How many were there for Elizabeth and does this reflect a significant change across the UK in sentiment towards the monarchy?
@andycommons_ I hear your plea for people to vote tactically, vote Labour. Yet Labour still field candidates in seats they can’t win thus denying a non Tory seat. FPTP is ludicrous. If Labour promised electoral reform then I’d lend them my vote.
“Britain’s antiquated political system is never going to solve our problems - it’s a root cause. Time has come for complete rewiring of Britain & for my party to talk openly & seriously with others who feel the same”. Bravo @AndyBurnhamGM 👏 #Fairvotes https://t.co/h9OcP8dZJe
