So here we have it… 89 players who are listed as Strikers/Forwards that have been at the City since 04/05 season.. I’d class some as wingers but here we go… a brief history who is the ultimate flop idol though

In 1970, a 9 year old Diana having suffered through her parents divorce made a vow to her then-Nanny, Mary Clarke:
"I shall only get married when I am sure I’m in love so that we will never be divorced."😍
10 years later, Diana, run to her flatmates and whispered in excitment:
'I met this guy...but I have to call him Your Highness'!
Unfortunately, the marriage rapidly deteriorated and in 1992, Diana went to William's school to explain the separation. In Panorama she said:
"William asked me what had been going on and if could answer his questions, which I did. He wanted to know the reason why the marriage went wrong. I said 'Well, there were 3 of us in this marriage, and the pressures of the media was another factor; so the two together were very difficult.' William is a child who is a deep thinker"🔥
She further said to William:
"I put it to William, particularly, that if you find someone you love in life you must hang onto it and look after it, And if you were lucky enough to find someone who loved you, then you must protect it."❤️
The conversation resonated deeply with him indeed. His friend later said:
"When you speak to William, he’s actually quite puritanical in his attitude when he talks about his parents’ marriage and what went wrong. It hugely affected the way he approached his own relationship with Catherine and why it took so long for him to settle down. He wanted it to be with the right person and for it to last forever."❤️
Thus, It was significant that when finally William proposed to his longtime Love of 8 years, he did so with his mother's engagement ring. He said:
"It is my mother's engagement ring & it's very special to me, as Catherine is very special to me, as well. It was only right the two were put together. It was my way of making sure My mother didn't miss out on today and the fact that Catherine and I are going to spend the rest of our lives together."🥰
But William did not stop there. Before the wedding, He did a very symbolic gesture toward Catherine that is not well known: He took her to Diana's resting place, on the island at her family's Althorp estate to intoduce the woman he loved and gained to the mother he loved but lost🔥
Later, a source closed to the couple revealed in 2013:
"It was very important for William to take Kate to visit his mother; he took her just before their wedding day. It is tragic that she won't be there to see the wedding and that she will never get to meet his bride."💔🥲
William had not only lost his mother but also his best friend & confidant.
Thus, he included her in many aspects of the wedding:
•Catherine wore Diana's ring.
•The wedding address was delivered by the Bishop of London, Richard Chartres, who knew Diana since her 1981 marriage and was an executor of her will.
•One of the hymns chosen by the couple for their service, "Guide Me, O Thou Great Redeemer", was the final one to be sung at Diana's funeral.
Later William confessed:
“When it came to the wedding, I did really feel that my mother was there. You know, there are times when you look to someone or something for strength and I very much felt she was there for me."🥹❤️‍🩹
Today, William is a devoted husband and father who prioritise his family, having learned from all the pain he went through with his parents affairs, divorce and the tragic loss of his mother to create the beautiful family life he has today.
As his lifelong mentor and frmr Private sec Jamie L-P said:
"His marriage to Catherine is strong and fatherhood has given him contentment beyond his dreams."❤️
Old nanny Mary Clarke Poignantly said in 2022:
"I know how proud and thrilled Diana would have been at William’s choice of wife. His marriage is wonderful. The way they are so together and so secure together is everything Diana ever wanted; And how she would have loved those grandchildren."💔🥹
At last, the love and happiness Diana dreamed as a child came for her son❤️‍🩹
