We learned three things from today's @FinancialCmte hearing on stablecoins:

1. Everyone wants clarity and agrees legislation is needed. Yay!

2. Everyone also wants to protect the strength and use of the US dollar on the internet. It's important for US-backed stablecoins to be regulated here.

3. Consumer protection is a non-negotiable requirement. And that means clear definitions are necessary so that users don't go outside the US to find a US-backed stablecoin.
