Moss Column, designed by Yong Ju Lee, is a prototype that merges living organisms with architecture. It aims to update the approach of blending natural life with manmade structures. Mosses are embedded into artificial materials using advanced construction technologies.
The design algorithm creates a subtle pattern that blends natural and artificial elements, mimicking the organic dissolution process. This attempt provides a radical solution for integrating organic and inorganic matter through a single-body geometric system. It highlights the interaction and exchange of respiratory and photosynthetic byproducts between people and nature.
