As is the case with every successful team or personal in sport, the Springboks will have their critics and many of them.
From being told the 7-1 bench is not “morally correct” to being told that they don’t play the game the “right way” - whatever that means - to some evening saying they “cheated” their way to their fourth title.
But the fact of the matter is, they are the most successful rugby team in the history of Rugby World Cups. Played 8, won 4. That’s a 50% tournament success rate, no other team comes close to that.
Jamie Wall said on the @RugbyBits podcast this week that the Springboks and All Blacks are rugby’s most successful teams and they dictate how the game should be played and not be told by the rest. It’s bullish, but he is right, the winning teams in any sport set the bar and the rest attempt to rise to it.
There are those who have tried to discredit the past World Cups wins because the “All Blacks had food poisoning (because of Tannie Suzie)”, or that the Boks had an easy route (in 2007 & 2019), now it’s the officials. Despite having the toughest route to a final ever, they still conquered.
My suggestion is this. Don’t get angry or upset with some of these opinions - they are like arseholes, everyone has one. Instead embrace it.
@threeredkings calls Munster the ‘Bad Guys’ and for club rugby, it’s probably true. But for Test rugby, it is very clearly the Springboks. Let’s not shy away from it. Embrace it. The Bad Boks keep on winning. 😎

The @lionsofficial 3-Test series against @Springboks in July-August 2021 has the capacity to break all box-office records. If every seat is sold at Soccer City in Soweto, Green Point in Cape Town and Ellis Park in Johannesburg the total attendance will top 210,000.
@sussexfox1@lionsofficial@Springboks That is a fair comment. But the new venues lift it to another level from a commercial and fan perspective. Also, accommodation and travel options make it a much more fan-friendly schedule
2021 @lionsofficial in South Africa v @Springboks Two Tests in Jo’burg; one in Cape Town. The country’s two biggest venues followed by a possible decider at Ellis Park. Promises to be a tour without equal.

Don’t take our forgiveness of apartheid atrocities for granted. We chose to rebuild the country than be involved in a race war. Don’t equate our love for non racialism to stupidity. One day, hopefully, it won’t be too late, you will realize we were the most reasonable people
“Rugby is doing the right thing – we are happy and we would urge other sports to follow their lead” - Themba Khumalo, president of clothing workers’ union @SACTWU, backing the Boks’ "Buy SA" stance. 93,6 percent of Springbok replica jerseys are made in SA. @ASICS_ZA
A private equity firm has made offers of more than £800 million for commercial rights to the @SixNationsRugby@premrugby and @PRO14Official They are hardly in it purely for the love of the game and yet rugby seems ready to sell its soul, or what's left of it.

Upon entering an Orthodox church, it is customary to light candles and receive blessings from the Archbishop. This evening I asked for guidance and protection over my family and our country.
