The true test of your character isn’t how you treat your best friends and what they would say about you.
It’s about how you treat the people you don’t really know.
That approval or affirmation you think you need from other people?
Raise your chin and take a deep breath. Then exhale and say, “I am proud of myself. That is enough.”
Release them and yourself. Your words have power. Speak positivity over yourself and watch your life change.
Still thinking about the dentist appt yesterday when I heard her ask “how’s the baby?” and I said, “oh, he’s gotten SOOO big!” and then she shared her own struggles w/weight and I realized I misheard and she really asked “how’s (the girls’) daddy?” And now I need a new dentist.
Kids kept telling Alexa to play obnoxious music so I switched the command to play smooth jazz when they asked. I’m looking forward to adding that skill to my resume.
My kids say they’re making piña colada’s when they cut their juice boxes and put them in cups. I’m too excited about the awkward interactions in their futures to correct them.
