St. Teresa of Jesus (St. Teresa of Avila) Pray for us. A Spanish mystic, Carmelite nun, writer of the Counter Reformation, and theologian of contemplative life through mental prayer. https://t.co/ANVUODZXSg
Happy Feast Day of St. Carlo Acutis!
As we mark the day dedicated to the patron of computer programmers and young people, his mother, Antonia Salzano, shares the message her son would give to the world: “Life is precious and must not be wasted. We must make the most of our lives for eternity.”
For ten seconds in Times Square, the only sound was my son Fulton’s heartbeat, live streamed from an ultrasound backstage.
Tomorrow, Venerable Fulton Sheen will be beatified. I named my youngest son after him, and I pray his legacy of truth and love lives on through my children and the ministries I founded.
Venerable Fulton Sheen, pray for us.

For people of faith, memory is a noble virtue and a duty. I’m talking to you on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, which affected the entire nation, the whole world, but especially here, in New York. It’s a day of memory. We will never, ever forget the names, the people, what happened, and also, that we came back stronger than ever. @thegnewsroom
STOP comparing Afghan women in burqas and Iranian women under compulsory hijab with Christian nuns.
This really isn’t complicated.
A nun chooses to become a nun. Her vow applies to her. She doesn’t take the vow and suddenly every woman in Italy has to cover her hair.
And if she removes her veil, the morality police don’t show up to beat her, arrest her, or throw her in prison.
That’s the difference.
In Iran and Afghanistan, the rules don’t care whether you’re religious, secular, Muslim, atheist, or just want to be left alone. You’re a woman? Congratulations. The authorities have a dress code for you.
And please stop pointing at little girls in hijab and calling it “choice.” Some of these children can’t even read yet. They’re old enough to choose a religious obligation for life, but apparently not old enough to choose what they want for lunch?
Here’s the test nobody seems to want to take:
What happens when a woman says NO?
If the answer is guns and bullets, prison, beatings, losing your education, or being erased from public life, congratulations, you’ve discovered the difference between choice and coercion.
And if you still think the Taliban model is somehow “liberating,” try it yourself. Cover up. Obey. Let religious authorities decide how you dress, where you go, whether you work, and when you’re allowed to speak. Then explain to Afghan women how empowered you feel.
Is this really that difficult to understand?

American needed medical imaging. She was told the cost with her insurance is $1,200. She told them unfortunately she would have to cancel the appointment because she can’t afford that
She was put on hold. Another woman came in the phone and she said, "Girl, opt out of your insurance. You don't have to use it."
She was told if you don’t want to use your insurance the cash pay price would only be $480
It’s $780 cheaper to not have insurance and be paying a monthly premium
US health insurance is out of control and it’s such a scam. There is no reason for a cash pay price to ever be cheaper than someone paying a monthly deductible for insurance
🚨The US bishops have called for Catholics to pray and act in a focused effort until the end of October for an end to the spread of abortion pills
Archbishop Paul Coakley, President of the USCCB, has said 'Every abortion involves the death of a child and harm to the mother'
THIS IS WHAT A HERO LOOKS LIKE!!!
Tony Mullis is a DOUBLE AMPUTEE MARINE VETERAN who STOPPED on a Georgia highway to pick up an AMERICAN FLAG that fell.
“I picked that beautiful flag up off that ground.”
I have to admit my prayers were a bit more fervent today, because it's the feast day of St. Maximillian Kolbe. You ever heard of him? He was a priest from Poland, and he was arrested by the Nazis because he dared to speak out against them. Here's somebody who believed Jesus when He said that a greater love than this no one has than to lay down his or her life for another. @thegnewsroom
My husband always said it best.
COVID taught us that knowledge and wisdom are not the same thing. Our institutions are filled with people like Fauci who have credentials, degrees, and knowledge, but lack wisdom.
And knowledge without wisdom, especially when combined with power, is incredibly dangerous.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,” — Proverbs 9:10
I'm in Rome for a couple of days! Never pass up the chance to receive the blessing of the Holy Father - and you can do that every Sunday at noon. That's why I'm here, wish you were here with me! @thegnewsroom
In honor of my mother, Flora Klein, who at 14 years of age was in the concentration camps of Nazi Germany, I will be at the White House July 4th honoring our veterans from WW II July 4th. Alongside me, will be 10 surviving WW II veterans. God bless our veterans.
🇺🇸 AMAZING! Japan just did a whole FIREWORKS SHOW celebrating America’s birthday today, as it’s now July 4 in Tokyo
This is what a REAL ally looks like.
Unlike most of our European “allies”
God bless America, and God bless Japan! 🇺🇸🤝🇯🇵
