@PaigeSpiranac You can be about community and still respecting the traditions of the game without being an absolute arsehole. Which is a lot of what we are seeing.
@TeeTimesPub It literally happens all the time. Take Lowry at the Open last year. Wasn’t convincing that the ball moved but he took the penalty to avoid any doubt whatsoever. Didn’t act like an 8 year-old and threaten to quit the tournament.
@Top100Rick Being mad for 5 seconds at a bad shot isn’t performative. (Still should be a penalty though). Throwing your arms at a rules official for 5 mins and then putting the entire world on hold overnight to see if you’re actually going to play the next day because you’re so upset is.
@peterjkostis@GolfChannel Half of the penalties in golf are players calling on themselves when they weren’t sure, but they take the penalty to avoid any doubt. You know this.
@mafzalkolachi Here we go again. You need 2 players between him and the goal. Usually this is the goal keeper, but he was ahead of the play. Please learn the rules.
Turkey v USA is the World Cup’s only group-stage match where both countries’ largest metropolitan areas sit on the 41° latitude line.

@StanCollymore As a Leeds fan from Scunny living in the US, nothing ever beats Elland Road. But there’s still more than one way to enjoy the world’s greatest game. This World Cup has been glorious so far (hydration breaks aside).
@Luke_Elvy Of course it failed miserably. Give anyone $6bn to throw away and they can buy as many eyeballs as you like. What’s your definition of success?
Typical @united@fly2ohare experience. Landed but stranded on the tarmac for 40 mins and counting. No info and still not moving. United app still saying we are arriving early. Complete joke.
