Well #Newsnight reached an all time low tonight. No attempt at balance at all. 3 smug politicians in the studio all trotting out tropes about Trump, @Nigel_Farage and @elonmusk and of course blaming "The Far Right" for people's anger. Not the refugee from Sudan.... for whom there seemed to be some sympathy! What contempt they, and @BBCNews, have for the British people.
If Andy Burnham wins Makerfield and goes on to become Prime Minister, he will almost certainly change the voting system to lock Reform and Restore out of power for good.
Unfortunately, many Restore supporters don’t seem to realise they’re helping hand the seat to Burnham by splitting the vote.
It’s already been confirmed that the greens and liberals are trying to get a solution together to stop the right getting into power!!
WAKE THE HELL UP AND VOTE REFORM or no saving this country 🤦♂️😡🤬
I
If Andy Burnham gets his way in Makerfield because Rupert Lowe chose to stand a candidate, the consequences will be felt far beyond one constituency.
Burnham has made no secret of his ambitions. He wants to lead Labour and become Prime Minister.
That means more migration. More identity politics. More attempts to introduce de facto blasphemy laws through the back door. And once again, grooming gang victims risk being pushed aside and ignored.
If that happens, responsibility will not just lie with Burnham and Angela Rayner. It will also lie with Rupert Lowe.
A patriot puts country before self.
A narcissist puts ego before country.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
@Calavera437 All the hierarchy in the police/fire/ Ambulance are political appointments to protect everything that is wrong with this country at government ministerial level.
Who else was pleasantly surprised to see this?
Wonder how long until the lunatics start taking offence to it!!!
Anyway, it’s got my vote 👊💪👍

Two men involved in a street fight, which included a man being stabbed & later petrol-bombing someone's home with a mother & daughter inside, have been spared jail & given suspended sentences.
Naveed Hussain had a dispute with Bilal Ahmed in Kildare Street, Dresden, Stoke-on-Trent, along with three other men. It led to Bilal Ahmed’s brother, Kashif Ahmed, being stabbed in the shoulder with a machete & taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
Later that day, others went to Hussain’s partner’s home & carried out a revenge arson attack, which left a 31-year-old mum & her 13-year-old daughter in hospital for weeks.
Judge Rupert Mayo sentenced Hussain to 22 months in prison, suspended for 18 months, with a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement & 150 hours of unpaid work.
Ahmed was sentenced to 15 months in prison, suspended for 18 months, with a 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement & 100 hours of unpaid work.
Both men were ordered to pay £500 in costs.
Why are we allowing barbarians to fight with machetes in the street & then petrol-bomb people’s homes?
Why have they not been jailed?
Two-tier policing & judiciary in Britain?
Imagine being remanded in custody for pushing a wheely bin towards police but being let off after repeatedly punching and breaking a policewomans nose.
Now imagine our PM trying to convince us that there's not two tier policing.
@SandyofSuffolk It does not affect his personal wealth.
He would quite happily go bust and leave everyone out of pocket.
They all do it champagne socialists .
