People like you are the people that mean LVV runs without fans, or worse closes as "not safe" Riders know the risks. Fans SHOULD know the risks however small exist!

@DanielRBlackham Given no part of the bulletproofscreen was damaged its obviously strong enough. The issue is that this has never happened before. Riders going up on a bend, hitting barrier & going higher. So you cant account for it until it has happened!

Using hindsight as justification is not a good look.

Plus the screens cost £250k. This wasnt a cheap effort

If the angled section is added to placate the baying "where theres blame theres a claim" mob then it should suffice.

But youve got bikes doing 70kph without brakes. Theres ALWAYS risks. Everyone knows this.

Riders know the risks. Spectators SHOULD know the risks are small but still there.

Lets not forget there arent any brakes on these bikes. Do you want that changed as well? 🙄

@Richard28893213 Well I guess the answer is to have zero spectators there just in case. I'm sure they'll make MORE changes in light if a freak accident. Ironically more height isn't the solution, but the top section needs to come back inwards at 45 degrees like at motorsport venues

@DanielRBlackham Will add that LV has been open for over a decade. And this has only happened twice. Improvements can always be made, (hence plexiglass addition in Aug24) but its not like this is common occurance.

@DanielRBlackham Its 1.4m tall and the riders left the track very high up due to momentum.
The only addition I can think of is to have the top, angle back at 45 deg like we see at F1 circuits. Riders cant get to spectators. But then risk is riders crashing down from great height (10ft+)
